What is this tool?
Image to ASCII Art Generator maps the pixel grids of an image onto a set of ASCII text symbols sorted by brightness (optical density), producing retro text-based graphics.
How to use it
1. Select an image file.
2. Choose a density scale (standard, blocky, or simple) and set your target width/resolution.
3. Adjust the brightness, contrast, or color toggle settings.
4. Click "Generate ASCII" to view the render.
5. Click "Copy" or "Download" to save your art.
Pro tips
- For best results, use high-contrast images with clean backgrounds (like logos or portrait silhouettes).
- If copying to platforms like Discord, wrap the text inside triple backticks (```) to enforce a monospace layout.
