What is this tool?

Add Page Numbers loops through page sizes and dynamically overlays styled text runs in the document coordinates using pdf-lib.

1. Select and upload your PDF file.

2. Choose layout settings (number format, position alignments, fonts, margins, and ranges).

3. Click "Add Page Numbers".

4. Download the updated, numbered PDF document.

Standard footers use a 20-point margin from page boundaries. Increase this padding if the text overlaps with existing page contents.
Use contrasting colors (e.g. black or dark blue) for visibility.

Which numbering formats can I choose?

You can choose between simple numbers ("1"), page labels ("Page 1"), or full pagination counts ("Page 1 of 12").

Can I omit the page number on the first page?

Yes! You can choose to skip the first page, which is ideal if your PDF has a title page or a table of contents.

Where can I position the page numbers?

You can position numbers in the headers or footers, aligned to the Left, Center, or Right.
